Hi,
I have a spare Vix Driving Seat - the company that made them is no more but there are pictures and some reviews in this thread (post #100).
It's not a PlaySeat - but I've used a slightly modified one to good effect in Dirt with my M$ wheel (world top 10 on several tracks) - and it's also only £40 + PnP
Cheers,
Paul

Sorry for the terrible pic (- I've only got an old camera phone), but the box contains the folding metal frame, plastic seat and pedal rest, 2 part metal clamp with two different mounting plates, spanner, tape and instruction sheet.
Like the owners in the thread I linked to the unit and box were pretty tatty when they arrived, but everything is there and the one I use works OK. (I have modified mine so that I can sit on the sofa though as the plastic seat is too hard for my old bones!)
I might be able to get some better pics tonight if you're interested.
Paul

ps - cat NOT included in deal | Yeh if you could get a couple more pics that would be great
I did wonder if you had to sit on the floor to use the stand as that would not be much use to me.
But can see from the comment above that it can also be used on the sofa or chair or similar. so that would suit me.
Nice cat by the way
Many Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin, sorry for the delay - it took a while to borrow a camera and get the pics.
The stand is designed to be used sat on the floor, however I bolted a couple of bits of wood to mine to raise it up enough so that I can play on the sofa. I also bolted some board to the wheel mount and added side supports so that the wheel tips back easily to let the driver in and out! All-in-all it's a bit of a bodge, but it holds the wheel and pedals firmly enough to be an enjoyable drive.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul
Real sorry for the mega late response i was working away the tail end of last week and had a heap of other stuff on.
Having looked at the pics i am not sure if it will be high enough to allow me to sit in my normal seat for playing games.
As the iron board set up at the moment is around 28 inches off the ground to the bottom of the wheel.
Does the Vix stand go the high? As i am strugling for room as it is i am limited for space so would find it difficult to sit on the floor.
Many Thanks

Many Thanks | Hi Martin, I think you're stuck with your Extreme Ironing!
The Vix frame on its own only raises the wheel 18" off the ground - my modified one stands on wooden legs that add 6", (and it could be lifted 10"), but it's pretty low 'as it stands'
Cheers,
Paul

Paul | Hi Paul
I think your right i will just have to mount a boost gauge and oil pressure to make it feel more realistic
Thanks very much for sorting out the pics and that tho
All the best
Martin.
