The mute and volume button is actually in the cable (like a mobile phone handsfree) rather than where it plugs in to the pad.

How does it compare to the offical MS Product?

its volume and sound quality are the same but connector to handset is just a normal headphone socket.

Only thing I noticed using it last night was that you can only have the earpiece and mic on the left hand side, where with the MS one you can put it on either side.

If this and the MS one were the same price then I would go for the MS one, but at a quarter of the price this one is great and a more than adequate backup for my wireless one.....probably use this one more if honest.
