Re: superb 360 elite deal

i think the ability to put mw2 into the deal and pay around a tenner more than the asda deals blows them out the water !

my delivery estimate is 11 november

Re: superb 360 elite deal

It's good that you can combine all the deals!! The £10 MW2 deal is listed and there is nothing in the T&Cs about not using in conjunction with any other offer so should be all good. Great find OP

Although if i got this i'd get Borderlands instead of Fifa 10

Re: superb 360 elite deal

I'm guessing somethings gone wrong. as the deal with 2 extra games comes to £199.99 and the other elite deal is an extra £10 for MW2 so if the 2 had combined it would be £209.99 not £213? good deal though if you get it!

Re: superb 360 elite deal

That's a scorcher of a price , if i didnt have an elite already i'd snap this up , thinking about it i may have to inflict some damage to my console and buy another

Re: superb 360 elite deal

Gutted about this, I just ordered an elite yesterday (The exact same deal, minus MW2) for £199.99, I'm going to sell Dragon Age to my brother for £30, and Forza 3 to Cex for £29, and have MW2 on preorder at £24, and £35, so Cexing one of those will be decent too, but I still feel totally miffed at missing this.

However, settling for a Elite with entertainment pack for just over £140 is really good I guess. Just wish I had seen this first, as it's in the 'Dispatching soon' stage.

Re: superb 360 elite deal

I ordered this myself as I was looking to get a 120GB HD for my aging pro and COD MW2 when it was released. I already have Forza 3 and have order Borderlands.

I am aware that Amazon messed up with the last elite deal they did and tried to cancel customers order (or at least charge them the full wack). However I have also looked at the T&C's of each offer.

MW2 + and elite states

Limited to a maximum of one Offers per customer

and the other offer with WEP + two games states

Limited to a maximum of three Offers per customer

I see it this way.

Offer 1: buy and xbox elite and the WEP pack and get it for free

Offer 2: add '2' games and get them for £10

Offer: buy an elite and add MW2 and get it for £10

It does not state (at the time of writing this 'Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer) and I have saved the pages

As far as I'm concerned this is the definition of all offers applied to my basket and they interact as they should by definition. If Amazon don't want you to take advantage off the offers they promote they can quite easily prevent them from doing so. They could argue the deal but I'm prepared to argue back.

Just my opinion guys, however I am an E-Commerce Analyst for a large online company and have previously worked in a similar role for a worldwide publishing and media distribution organisation - I define, create and run offers daily.

Any questions... just ask

Stu

Re: superb 360 elite deal

I missed the last deal so hopefully this one goes through! Does anyone know how much you get for a Premium nowadays at GAME as trade in? A lot easier than whacking it on ebay!

Thing is that I just ordered a black Wii from Amazon an hour or so ago and it's already too late to cancel!
I must be strong and return it when it arrives!

Thanks to the OP.

Anyone can try too to confirm?

To press confirm, or to not press confirm....

I wonder if it can jump up after you confirm order, i can see why it did after changing delivery as you are refreshing/changing the order. If i confirm it should go straight to the thankyou screen? Hmmm...

Last year a load of innocent people got banned, they complained on the forums. Then weeks later there consoles get unbanned. So the detection method MS uses if flawed.

Thanks, had a look at the T&Cs it says i can cancel as long is it says 'items not yet dispatched'. If it says 'Dispatching soon' or 'Item dispatched' then i would have to return it after delivery which would be a pain. I assume it stays in the first one for a while?

I've placed an order for this....it still says Items not yet dispatched.

If the price changes for whatever reason, Amazon will send you an e-mail. At that point you can refuse to complete the order. Their Customer Service is very good if you ever needed to contact them.

Thought the only way they detected was via copied games? Do they have hardware scanners too? Not that mine is but my mate has one and could be in for a shock.
