Re: Connecting Gamecube with a home cinema problem

Can your amp pass the composite to the hdmi out connection?

I assume your using the Analogue out here with the yellow, red and white connector on it?

Re: Connecting Gamecube with a home cinema problem

My 360 is connected with an hdmi cable for picture and with an optical cable for sound. My home cinema system is the samsung ht x250.I also use another hdmi cable to connect the system with my tv.So i thought if i use the rca cable to connect my gamecube with the home cinema system for sound then the same hdmi cable i use will give me picture, but i get ONLY sound.

What amp do you have? Not all will convert analogue video to HDMI.

Re: Connecting Gamecube with a home cinema problem

The 360 is outputting a digital picture via HDMI, which your home cinema (I suspect) doesn't have to do anything with - just pass it on to the TV. I also suspect that it doesn't upconvert analogue signals (e.g. composite) to digital HDMI.

What's your home cinema system make/model?

Re: Connecting Gamecube with a home cinema problem

Have had a quick look on the Samsung website but can't find the spec for that product.

I found it on an online retailer's website, by the look of it the video connections are only outputs, not inputs. If that's the case then it won't do what you are asking it to do.

Is there anything in the manual that suggest you can run video through this as well as audio?

EDIT: have found another online retailer whose website says that it does upconvert to HDMI, so perhaps all is not lost. The best bet really would be to start again with the manual. You might have some more luck in the all-in-ones forum.
