Gamecube and Loewe Xelos

Will there be a noticable improvement if I would connect the GC (US/JAP) to the Xelos using the VGA-input instead of feeding it interlaced component to Scart3?

From what I understand the Xelos has a build in deinterlacer/linedubbler that is beeing used for 60Hz interlaced (NTSC), instead of the 100Hz mode used for 50Hz interlaced (PAL).

I'm also uncertain that the Xelos would sync. on the initial interlaced VGA signal, but I guess I could also connect a SVideo lead and then switch channel on the Xelos after I enabled the progressive output on the GC...
