just bought a GC-is there anything I really need??

Hi All,

Just got myself a Gamecube (as at the prices they are now it'd be silly not to)..

Is there anything I really need for it... e.g:

1) Do I need a memory card... if so what is a decent size to go for and should I get an official one

2) If I decided to get another controller I am presuming that an official one is the best way to go ?? (I've got a pearly white GC on its way.. so you know the colour...)

3) the console comes with Mario Smash Football and I've ordered Rogue Squadron II... I am guessing that a Mario platformer game is another essential to have... can you recommend other games that i NEED to get (doesn't have to be Mario)..

Thanks for looking

Gaz

1 - Yes. Get the biggest memory card you can, playasia still stock official Nintendo ones.

2 - Get an official Nintendo Wavebird wireless pad, they only come in grey but are great. Again playasia.

3 - I'd say Ikaruga, Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Resident Evil 4 and Metroid Prime are essentials for GC owners.

It's still a good little system for not much dosh, be aware that games tend to go for more than PS2 games on ebay etc as they are also playable on the Wii.

you might also find a sd media launcher useful as well

also if you can find one for a reasonable price, I'm a massive fan of the wavebird controller.....
