Gamecube games on the highstreet?

There are a few gamecube games i'm after but I haven't seen any on the highstreet, do any shops still stock them or is online my best option? I'm not too keen on purchasing online so if anyone knows any shops in london and essex please advise, cheers

Re: Gamecube games on the highstreet?

i would say that the only places that sell GC games are game and gamestation. i would say just buy off the internet theres no reason not to they generally come on time and have the best prices try posting a wanted ad on the classified section im sure someone will have a few unwanted gc games around.

Re: Gamecube games on the highstreet?

I've also found that Game still seem to be charging stupid money for GameCube games. After all this time I would have hoped to have picked some classics up for reasonably cheap prices!

eBay is not a bad place to look for older/secondhand Gamecube games but has anyone got any tips on where to buy Gamecube games online for a reasonable amount?

Cheers,

Chris

I would also be interested if anybody has any good ideas for this - there seems to be a plentiful supply on eBay but I don't have the time to watch items closely enough to actually get them

Re: Gamecube games on the highstreet?

^^^^ Try looking anywhere apart from a specialist game shop.
This means places like WHSmith, Asda, Tesco, Woolworths etc etc

You see, the specialist game shops know that people will still buy GC games as there is a back-catalogue that Wii owners can still use. However, as far as the "average non-gaming outlet" is concerned, the Gamecube is old news.....gone the way of the Dodo.....so as far as they know, they just need to shift stock on an obselete console.
Hence, gaming places will keep prices high, non-gaming places will sell it off cheaply.

I myself bought a shed-load of new, sealed GC games from Asda last summer as they desperately tried to shift what they obviously considered "old stuff".
Got things like Zelda/F-zeroGX/Metroid Prime etc etc for about £5-7 each.

.....so keep an eye out in the "other" retail outlets too, as you might grab a bargain.
