Question Gamecube Games - Why So Hard To Find?

It seems to be very hard to get hold of games for this platform.

Most shops on the high street don't seem to stock them at all. Unless they are well hidden, WHSmiths, Woolies, Tescom etc don't have a Gamecube section at all. I think Game had some last time I looked, but it was a tiny display tucked in the corner. Whenever I look for something on an internet shop it's sold out.

What's going on? Is there really no demand? There's plenty of Ninendo hand-held stuff about.

Agreed. Buy on-line and save yourself the hassle of wasting shoe leather visiting shops.

People keep Nintendo games
I've only kept 3 PS2 games - ICO, SotC and GT3
But I've still got 10 GC games.

Having said that - there were silmply fewer GC games sold

I'd agree with eBay - that's how I filled my DC collection once it was no longer supported.

Re: Gamecube Games - Why So Hard To Find?

Most have now stopped supporting the format a long time ago. Also the print runs were more limited. A big factor was that the games and console were harder to pirate so there were a lot less people buying games coping them and selling them on

Re: Gamecube Games - Why So Hard To Find?

I looked in GAME this morning and there were loads of GC games on 3 for 2 offer. They're clearing them out by the looks of it. Prices still a bit too high for my liking, but they had a couple of titles I wanted.

I agree about Ebay and also the retention of GC games by their owners.

Re: Gamecube Games - Why So Hard To Find?

Play.com seem to be the best online store for finding Gamecube games in stock.

Prices aren't too bad either and are sometimes cheaper than second hand games on ebay. The games I have ordered from Play have been original sealed too.
