Skype Subscriptions

Hi there,

I was recently checking out the subscriptions page and noticed the various offers. Would a World Subscription (roughly £7 a month I think) cover all of the listed countries, even if you plan to call people in the same country as your present location. For example, if I am in Canada and I am calling landlines in Canada using this World Subscription would it let me? And if I used the same subscription to call the UK from Canada, would it be the same. Probably a silly question. I wasn't sure if these subscriptions work only for the county you are not in, or if they work for either.

Thanks

Re: Skype Subscriptions

Hey GuyScissorhands. The Unlimited World subscription is £7.99 a month (VAT included). I have had a good look around for you on the Skype website, but I don't see any information on what you have asked. Although, seeing as Skype accounts are not based on location I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be included. There is a limit of 6 hours a day/1,000 minutes a month which is a per account limit not per country limit (source), so I would say it would be all good.

Your best bet before you make a purchase would be to send Skype a support request using this page. (It's kinda funny Skype don't even have a support number advertised on their own website).

I hope this was of some help to you.

P.S. If you don't need Skype, I would suggest using a cheaper VoIP service.
