Need to pick up a power supply for a linksys Pap2

Bought one of these units off ebay, and the powersupply has failed (checked it against a working one) just wondering if there are any reasonable priced suppliers in the UK where I can pick one up, its rated at 5V 2A, I checked maplins they don't have anything that I can see that would be suitable.

Thanks in advance

Maplins have this one :
AC/DC Fixed-Voltage Switched Mode Power Supplies > Maplin

Their code L45BL will deliver up to 4 amps.

Some here will do it also :

Power Supply 5V DC, 2A

Thanks Chris, wouldn't the 4amps be to much for the Pap2? it says something like 2Amp Max on the old psu?

Re: Need to pick up a power supply for a linksys Pap2

The 2A max refers to the maximum capacity of the power supply; it was designed to deliver no more than 2 amps (but would have been fine delivering 1 amp or 500 mA also.
A 4 amp supply can deliver enough current to support any equipment that draws up to 4 amps - including your possible need for 2 amps.
The specifications for your PAP2 should tell you what it's maximum current draw should be - probably actually less than 2 amps.

Ah ok so if the psu is rated at 5amps and the pap2 only requires 2amps it will only draw down the 5volts at 2amps. Thanks for lesson in power Chris
