Ok... I'm officialy stuck, I cant seem to find a decent video conferencing system for less than £100 in the UK... needs to support industry standards and use HDMI prefferably.. Any ideas before my brain explodes?

For less than a £100? Or did you mean £1000? I hate to break it to you SpyderMan... Something like a basic PolyCom system will set you back £2'500 + ...

If you only have a small budget, I suggest using Skype with a HD Webcam & PC.

What does this offer above free services such as Skype, V See and Oovoo.

I struggle with quality on the free services but always put this down to bandwidth.

I'm happy to pay for a good quality multiple user at each side video conference hardware / software.

with video its often not bandwidth but more such things like jitter and delays in packet delivery, in corporate environments where it used seriously there will be QOS setup which prioritizes these data packets to ensure smooth video performance. If you are going over public networks (the internet) you are at the mercy of luck as much as anything, a good ISP and connection at either end can help but if the route the packets take and other outside factors will affect the quality to which you will have no control.

Skype user

I have used Skype for video calling and have always found it reliable and easy to set up and use.
