Panasonic KX-TG9150ES

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the Panasonic KX-TG9150ES only works with SKYPE for Voip or can it be set up to be used on other Voip providers?

Re: Panasonic KX-TG9150ES

Explaining further for the uninitiated....

SIP is an open standard.
Skype uses their own proprietary standard instead of SIP.
Therefore a SIP phone will not work for Skype (but is fine for most other VoIP providers).
A Skype phone will not work with other providers - unless it also supports SIP, i.e. if it is a dual mode (more correctly dual protocol) phone.

Thanks for the replies.

Chris thanks for the detailed reply, I'm new to voip and don't know what handsets can be used and what ones can't be used.
