Happy days!!

I remember I had both the bigtrak and the trailer..... many hours of fun. The dogs and cats in the house were scared silly of it!

Not sure where they are now - in some loft somewhere???????

Re: Big Trak

I had one and they are useless. Clever technology for the time but program it to turn 90 degrees and it just generally went in that direction depending on the surface it was on.
After the 2nd turn it was off wherever it wanted. It didn't take long before mine was where it looked like it meant to go. The sand in the back garden.
Unfortunately they don't like sand and it died a death at the mercy of my screwdriver set.

Wow, that's a blast from the past! I really wanted a Big Trak along with Tin Can Alley and Evel Kneivel. Although my wishes never came true I was the proud owner of an Action Man Assault Tower with zip line lol.

Re: Big Trak

My Big Trak is still at my parents. Bought some batteries for it not long ago as my son spotted it while he was staying over. Batteries still cost a fortune and it sort of did what it wanted (from memory that means its working just as well as it did back in the day ).

Also had a trailer but the connection that fitted into the back of the Big Trak snapped off so thats probably in land fill now.

I was also lucky enough to get Tin Can Alley one year.....

Happy days.

Me too (the original blue one) and yes it was rubbish.

I'm sure the instructions said you should tie the far end of it to a door handle... so when your big sister/brother walked in the room it would break instantly.

I always wanted a Star Bird (not one of those topless ladies from the daily paper - but one of those would have been nice too)...

I've a mate who sampled all the noises and turned it into a pretty good Dance Track.

MY GOD!!!!!

I wanted one of them so so much when I was a kid.

Never got one, and my mate who got everything he wanted got one.

He had the trailer also with is.

Was so gutted, he wouldnt even let us have a go, used to have to look through his window as it took out his mums living room!

Feels like only yesterday, blast from the past!

Who made it?

Does anyone ever remember Evil Knievel?

Was like a red base with a handle and you put evil and his bike on the stand, then wound the handle till it picked up speed and his bike would fly off!

Always wanted one of them too but never got one :-(

Had an Evel Knievel, but my sister decided his last ever stunt would be to drive along the top of the 1" wooden bannisters along the upstairs hallway

My Action Man Zip Tower got turn in to an Action Man Base Camp, complete with scrim netting my Dad brought home - it was truly awesome, had a little garage for his jeep too.

As for BigTrak, well I never had one. But I do recall my freind's one... when I was in my early 20s, we used it to send the ashtray back and forth across the room while we were... err... eating mars bars and feeling generally lethargic
