Skype Certified USB Phones..... But Not For Skype???

Hi All

I have 3 different locations where I need to work from at various times during the week.

I have a local business number which I have forwarded to my SIP account with Connexin which, if unavailable, then routes to my mobile (last resort £££££).

I have the X-Lite softphone app working ok with my Connexin SIP account, but I want a USB phone which I can carry around and use with my laptop so that I can receive calls in each office.

I figure that this is a cheap overall solution.

My question is, do all / some of these usb phones which are branded with Skype work with other VOIP / SIP providers like connexin?

I like the look of the Ipevo Free-1 / Ipevo Free-2 phones which get good reviews but they are Skype branded so I'm confused?

Also would these USB phones work with the X-Lite application or with something else?

I hope this makes sense??!??

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Nick

No Skype is a proprietary system. You are using SIP so you need to get a SIP phone, plenty around.
