Creating new accounts on Skype - Connection problems

Guys,

I'm trying to set up a new account on Skype, but the connection is timing out. Has anyone had any problems with it recently? I thought it might not be passing through my firewall or AVG, but they're both fine.

I've tried it on my netbook and iPhone and can get through on either.

Has anyone got any suggestions?
