BBC Freeview reception problems since 15 August

For the last few evenings I have experienced interruptions to BBC Freeview services on the BBCA Mux (C54). The symptoms are sudden, complete loss of signal, for minutes at a time. ITV1 and all channels on other muxes are fine. I telephoned my local BBC News station and they told me they have received a few similar complaints. They referred me to BBC customer services on 03700100123, and there's a recorded message saying that BBC engineers are investigating interruptions to Freeview services since 15th August, so it seems this could be nationwide. I live in the Channel Islands.

Anyone else having problems lately?

With BBC Mux A on Ch54, you clearly are not watching the main Channel Islands station (Fremont Point).

Do you know which relay station you're receiving?

Of course, if the problem is at Fremont Point, all its relays will be affected anyway.

(If by "nationwide" you mean the whole of the UK, then definately not!)

Further research suggests you receive Les Touillets.

Please confirm.

Correct. But it's not just local, or the national BBC customer services line would not have the recorded message I mentioned.

What set have you got?

Ive been getting No Service intermittently on my TX-P37X10B since the BBC olympics coverage did something to the broadcasts. It disappears if I change to itv and go back again but its becoming a real pain to watch. Digitalstream box works fine though so I switch to that.

I use an Alba set-top-box. There have been no interruptions for the last few days, so I assume the BBC has found and fixed the problem. Your issue sounds like it's caused by your equipment.
