| Using the Tv to watch internet Programs
Firstly i would just like to say this is my first post but i do look on here a lot for advice.
So a little bit about the situation. Downstairs I have a TV with a wii and dvd player plugged into it. The tv has scart and hmdi cables. Not sure what else. Its a relatively new (1.5 year old) samsung. There is a problem with the satellite feed downstairs and the cables not near the TV anyway so upstairs is a freesat box connected to the tv via a video sender. (5.8ghz nikkai from maplin) Also plugged into this is via a manual scart switch is an xbox360 so i can use it on the main tv downstairs or the smaller one upstairs. There is a computer upstairs and a laptop in the room with the main tv. Both of which are pretty decent.
Now what i am after is because freesat channels dont ever seem to have anything on or are not working properly and sky is just too expensive for what you get.
I am looking for a way to use the internet to view tv/movies (via free sites and lovefilm online beta) on the tv without cabling up the laptop to the tv manually with a hdmi cable. I have searched on google and not found anything really for it. The only ways i can see doing it is having a small stand alone computer connected or some sort of wireless hdmi connection. Any other ideas would be great. Also would preferably want it so if it has to run off the laptop that it can be in a background window so the laptop can still be used while watching something from it. Hope this isnt too much waffle.
