Suddenly bad freeview reception in South Devon

Has anyone else in the South Hams area of South Devon found that their Freeview reception on ITV, C4, C5 etc has deteriorated badly over the last week or so... since the start of the bad weather perhaps?
Our digital WB aerial is mounted in the attic and was picking up the full range of FV channels until about a week ago, all very watchable. Now we still get all BBC channels on 100% quality, ~70% strength but quality on ITV, C4 etc has dropped and are now too bad to watch. Our aerial points west toward Plympton / Caradon Hill.

I'm in the South Hams and have seen a few small breakups recently but not really bad.

I changed the direction of my loft aerial from Caradon Hill to Beacon Hill some time ago.

Carradon has a stronger signal but, I don't know if it would still be the same since the digital switchover, I wasn't able to receive C5 and a few others from Carraon.

I live in Bedford (so nowhere near Devon) but our freeview was working fine until the last few weeks when the service has gradually deteriorated (missing channels, interference) until today when we only seem to have BBc1 left. This is on two separate tv's (one with a roof antenna and one with a portable one). We live within a couple of miles ofthe Sandy HEath transmitter (you can see it from the house) and freeview has been perfect until recently.
