This has baffled me, infact I'd be surprised if I get a reply, but here goes.

Aerial on roof, runs down into loft where its split, 1 feed goes into bedroom, other down into living room,

Feed in bedroom is fine, A+ infact, Living room is a disaster, can barly get Analogue and no freeview, Now this was working fine, infact reception was better in living room than bedroom.

I went up checked all wiring, and replaced the coax down to living room, no difference at all, only thin I can think of is that the connector on back of TV has gone.

I've just plugged a portable in downstairs to test if it was the socket on the back of the TV, but no, so reception on it either, Checked wall socket and its wired up fine. So I'm baffled

How is the aerial split?
Is it a simple 'Y' splitter or an amplifier splitter?

May be some help here

Y splitter, I would buy an amplified one only for the fact that this worked fine.

You mentioned a wall socket which suggests you are using a flylead - which has to be suspect.

You could check the Y splitter by swapping over its outputs.

Yes I replaced the entire coax lead yesterday, It can only be that splitter I doubt
