Re: Which indoor aerial?

This is the question to which there is no answer. You will need to read the Frequently Asked Questions at the top of this thread. It depends where you live, how close you are to the transmitter and a lot of luck. Reception with an indoor aerial, no matter what it says on the box, is always going to be a bit of a hit and miss affair. After switchover the Digital signal will be boosted and set-top aerials may be a bit more of a realistic option. Until then I'd advise you to look for an alternative like a roof or loft aerial.

Re: Which indoor aerial?

Your location is Manchester so presumably you are on the Winter Hill transmitter which goes fully digital on all channels 2nd. December.

If you have a window directly facing WH it may be possible to pick up signals on a cheap indoor aerial from the 2nd. Dec. Try one of the indoor aerials from the pound shop to check if you can pick up the BBC freeview channels now as power on this mux has already been increased.

Re: Which indoor aerial?

Look at this:

best Indoor Aerials | good indoor aerials | indoor Aerial Test Reports | recommended Indoor Aerials | recommended Aerials | best Aerials | Digital Switchover | Digital UK | Ricability | Digital TV

This was best:

http://www.ricability-digitaltv.org....or-aerials.htm

However, they can only do so much. Yours was in the top 6 I see.

Re: Which indoor aerial?

We have two of the 'Telecam TCE2000', from Argos, one is used upstairs through 2 walls (Grundig STB2000) and the other downstairs (Philips DTR220), again through 2 walls and both get all the channels.
