Hello,

I have just had to get a new freeview box, because the switchover has messed up my old one (wasn't displaying correct time, channels mixed up/missing etc). Unfortunately, the new one doesn't have jacks to connect left and right phono cable. Is there any way to connect it to the AV? Perhaps some kind of scart adapter/splitter?

Thank you, any one in particular? I looked through about half the page and couldn't find something hat would suffice.

The adaptor/coupler shown in the link (price £2-99) will allow you to tap off a phono sound connection but exactly why you would wish to do this stumps me.

If you need a composite connection for the TV then get a scart to three phono composite connection. Better still get a new TV with a scart connection because that way you will be able to connect a box with the superior RGB connection.

Better still, even, get a new TV with a freeview tuner.

Oh, you mean adaptor/coupler! I'm a bit confused though, you tell me to get a TV with a scart connection? The TV does have a scart connection, but I want to channel all sound through my amplifier.

Getting a new TV isn't an option anyhow..
