Surprised I couldn't find a post about this as a friend had the same problem. A few days after the 30th Sep re-tune my picture had no red in it, on any channel. It was OK for a few days but for my friend it happened right away. BTW we both did the re-tune. I'm using a Phillips DTR220/05 freeview box. A couple of auto channel searches fixed it but next day it was the same again. This still the case. Each day when I switch the TV on for the first time I have to do several auto channel searches or a couple of factory resets to get all 3 colours in the picture. Unplugging the digibox doesn't help. The TV is fine - it plays DVDs with full colour. I always find the picture is OK for the rest of the day, except once when I saw it happen while I was watching it. When red is gone it's gone on all channels. I live in Croydon, South London and my friend is in Scotland.

Suspect the SCART lead from the Freeview box to the TV either being loose or faulty

OK, I'll try another lead. I should have said - the signal strength and quality isn't an issue. It's 90-100% on different channels and networks.

No idea about the software. Interesting point, though. I see from your link my box will have update transmissions through next week. I suppose all I have to do is have the box powered up & not on standby for some of that time?

You could check your box to see if that version is the one you already have on your box.

It does state that its a repeat of previously sent update. Also check that your box is configured to receive automatic downloads of new OTA software versions.
