What causes a program to be a higher priority recording?
I always thought the program about to start had the priority?

what would take priority here I've put in when the next series record went into the schedule?

Damages 11.35 sr previous week
Tues
The Wire 11.20 sr previous night
Tues
Shamless 11.00 sr previous week

Priority depends on channel numbers; the lower the number the higher the priority. When a recording clash occurs, and there's a resolution without manual intervention, then the higher number channel will lose out...

Shameless will fail in your case as it is on E4, being a higher channel number than BBC1 and BBC2.

Although, having said this, I had a failed Wired recording happen to me without knowing why...

shameless did fail now I know why

heres another one If you know why this happened I have all my recordings padding at 2min before 3min after

coast 8-9 bbc2

traffic cops 9-10 bbc1

mentalist 9- 10 ch5

what has happened before is coast would have lost 2 min at the end allowing the other 2 to start, last night coast carried on recording untill 9.03 dont know why ?
