Humax FOXSAT-HDR x 2

I already own a Humax Foxsat -HDR with a twin LNB (live in a Bungalow!) and would now want to extend this system to my bedroom. Would I need a quad LNB, or will I have to buy another Humax FOXSAT-HDR?? If a quad LNB is the way forward - will this have any impact on the overall picture/sound quality in my main viewing area? Grateful for any help you can give. Cheers Dave

You'll need both, a Quad LNB to run two extra cables to your bedroom plugged in to another HDR. You are unlikely to notice any loss in picture or sound quality. Check you don't already have a Quad LNB, as Twin LNB's are quite rare these days.

Hi ian-d. Thank you for the info. When both systems are being used, at the same time, will there be any reduction in both picture or sound quality?? Cheers Dave

If you just want to watch Freesat in your bedroom then you don't need another LNB or another box Dave. All you need is a modulator (£20) to get the Humax to work on your bedroom TV. Obviously you won't be able to change channel from the bedroom and will need to nip into living room but if that suits you.....

As to your other question, the picture quality will be the same with 2 boxes running.

No, I have a quad LNB with all four feeds used at the same time with no loss of quality or signal strength. Each output is near independent of each other.

Yep, never noticed any loss in PQ here either, with two PVR's (or even four) on full tilt.
