HELP with Freesat plaease?!

Hi - I have got a Panasonic TH 50PX81 and its got Freesat, but I havent got a clue what I need to do to get it working, and I really want to watch the football on it tonight!

I have the Sky going in through a scart lead into the TV, as I cant get HD Sky in my flat.

Everything else, such as media pc and PS3 goes via the HDMI via a Sony Amp.

The sound from the sky goes from the TV to the amp as well.

Can anyone help? What leads do I need going where to get Freesat working?!

Thanks!!

Presumably you mean 50PZ81 and not 50PX81?

As a temporary measure you need to transfer the coax sat connection from the Sky box to the TV. You can fit an a-b switch to change the connection over in the future

MANUAL A/B SATELLITE SWITCH on eBay, also Digital Receivers, Satellite Boxes Receivers, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics (end time 21-Apr-09 16:33:39 BST)

Can't see how an auto switch would know which way to switch. Nearest is probably a remotely controlled A-B switch

Satcure used to do one that worked with a sky remote control.

This might work if you have a good signal, if you try it make sure that the tv is connected to the output with the power passthrough to allow the TV to control the lnb with the foxsat in sby

2-Way Satellite Splitter > Maplin

If you try it and it works (or not) I would be interested. A lnb amp before the splitter might also help

In-line LNB Satellite Signal Amplifier / Booster - Aerial Shack - TV

You might have to put an amp on tuner 1 input to power it though.

There's a worldwide shortage of the SPS1, so grab one where ever you can: Welcome to MediaChannels

Nice link son-t. connected the right way I guess you could get the TV tuner to steal the foxsat second tuner feed by selecting the Freesat tuner. Anyone know if the panasonic TV powers down the lnb when not using the freesat tuner, if it does not can't see that this would work.
