While watching the footie. last week the itv hd service suddenly vanished.
Ever since then I have not been able to access itv hd through the red button. BBc hd on 108 is okay.
Any sujestions would be welcome.

ITV HD have been having trouble with outside broadcasts and remember ITV HD is only available if a program is transmitted in HD. See here ITV HD Schedule | Join Freesat

If there is truly a ITV HD programme on and you can't get it try a factory reset.

Last night watchin pre recorded Law & Order UK in HD. Was fine until one adbreak. Programme returned - no ITV-HD logo and not in PVR display - then after few minutes all returned - strange.

Not bothered but loggin it on here just to let folks know it can happen. Mind you can't say I noticed change in picture quality.

The ads are scaled to 1080i but don't have a dog as none of the dog carrying channels have dogs on the ads (even in SD). The ads show how a decent scaler can improve the picture, just compare the same ad on a ITV HD transmission with SD. It looks as if they forgot to put the dog back after the ad break for a while.

Thanks for your sujestions guys. Did the factory reset as sujested and all is well. Am watching ths footie is HD as I am writing this.
Also I still have all my recordings intact after the reset.

Recordings remain intact, but you will have to re-schedule timers.
