Channel 5

I can't get any '5' channels on Freeview (poor signal area). If I get Freesat will I be able to receive those channels or do I also need some sort of card that I keep seeing mentioned

Thank you

Re: Channel 5

You'll only get Five itself , and not Fiver or Five USA on freesat. You'd need a box with a Sky viewing card for the others.

Re: Channel 5

A second hand sky box from fleabay plus a £20.00 freesat from sky card will give the five derivatives without subscription, only difference to freesat is you will get the sky epg and not the freesat one.

Re: Channel 5

Ah, ok, thanks... seems a bit strange that you can get the derivatives on Freeview but Freesat has this extra obstacle.

Thanks both

Freesat can't accomodate free but scrambled channels to get them you need a card.
