Cabling to 2 freesat boxes

Hi, new on here, hope someone can answer my question.
I have a satellite dish with a twin lnb. One cable goes to a Bush SD freesat box in the bedroom, the other goes to a Humax Foxstat HDR in the lounge. I now realise that for best performance the HDR requires 2 feeds from the sat.
Is it feasible to run a coax from the bedroom to the lounge and fit a switch so I can divert the feed from the SD box to give me 2 feeds to the HDR when required and switch back to single feeds to each unit at other times.
Hope that makes sense,
Roger

Yes it's possible but not very practical if you forgot to switch over then you are going to lose recordings. Why not jusy swap the twin lnb for a quad and run the extra cable ?

I'd agree with graham. Swap the twin LNB for a quad; much simpler and you keep your existing set up.

Re: Cabling to 2 freesat boxes

Hi Guys, yes easy to do in a house, lift the carpets etc, my install is on a boat so the down side on missing a recording or 2 is out weighed by the mega retro fit. It is possible to go the quad lnb way but I would appreciate the method / kit needed to switch cables which is the easier option. Then I can choose which way to tackle my particular problem, thanks in anticipation.
