Hi Tyler,

Not sure where you are based, so this may not help, but...

I got a couple before Xmas, and another one last Friday from Curry's on Oxford Street and I know on Friday afternoon they had at least another one in stock. You have to ask them for them though as they didn't have them on display.

They have a been a nightmare to try to get hold of online, I tried to order one from Dixons in December (they were showing stock), they excepted the order but then emailed me 3 days later saying they were unable to fulfill it!

Mean Doris - I'm in the Midlands so Oxford Street is a little out of the way. I'll try my local currys just in case the on line departments stock information is wrong.

I bought one 10 days ago from my local Currys even though on their website it was saying out of stock. Phone around your local dealers don't just rely on the web...

Keep checking the main page of the site linked to above, it will be updated with news when the next online retailer has stock...which should be later on this week.

Hi just popped into the local currys went to the freesat where they had 1 on display asked the salesman if they had any in the back, he checked the computer, had 3 in stock so he lifted a cardboard display and lo and behold there they were, actually only had 1 left so i bought it, he did'nt have an answer when i asked why they were'nt on display, so i guess have a look into your currys you might be surprised.

Keep checking Argos for home delivery. I got mine Day 1. A friend got one approximately 2 weeks later. Their stock replinshment seems to be pretty consistent. Good Luck. Great piece of kit.

I just ordered one from Richer Sounds website, delivery in the next 5 days. No mention of out of stock, usually they say if something is not available to buy online. Fingers crossed it all works out ok, i put it on the wife's card

no, i was a bit hasty with the order and didn't really think about it. i put it down to the shock of actually finding a place with some in stock

i'm happy enough with the standard warranty, by the time it runs out the wife will have decided that we need something new anyway :P

I bought mine from John Lewis before Christmas. The whole thing was pretty painless. They hadn't got them in stock but were expecting them in (2000 on order). I ordered one with no obligation to buy. They rang me a few days later to say they'd got one reserved for me and when and how did I want it. I went in on a Sunday and picked it up (my choice) for £292. Nice shop, no hastle, reliable service and a reasonable price IMHO.

I didn't actually get any further emails or confirmation of any kind from RS
that my order had gone through and was being sent, but it seems they had
some when i ordered as it showed up this morning Got it set up in less
than 5 minutes, very impressed with it so far

Now showing as out of stock on RS website though, pure luck on my part it seems.

If you dont mind me asking when did you place your order at maplins because ive just ordered one also (at the same price yesterday 22/01/09) and im just wondering whether mine will be delivered any time now.
I note that the money has been deducted from my account,is that a good sign or bad practice to withdraw before despatch?

I am due to receive mine next week. I am sure that I have read that Humax supply it WITH an HDMI cable. Can anyone confirm this? The last thing I want to find is that I unpack my box when I return to France to find there is no HDMI lead.
