Red button prob on 2nd humax box

Hi, both my father and I have the same Humax foxat HD box. Mine works well, his has a slight problem..after pressing the red button on bbc say, it goes to the red button info screen, but cant choose any numbers for alternative viewing of sports. I've tried unplugging from the mains for 10 mins, no joy. What else should I do, resetting , take back to shop? Thanks in advance, Drac

'Factory Reset' would be the first step - this will also detect if you have the latest firmware on setup too. The OTA (latest is v1.00.15) for the HD box is being broadcast again (well certainly was for last week...)

..Thanks for reply. Tried reset , no joy. My firmware is up to date, the problem box reads 1.00.11, but will not update either manually or automatically. Think this is the crux of the problem, So when is the firmware being broadcast? , Drac

Re: Red button prob on 2nd humax box

On a related point, if the update for .15 was being broadcast last week, my newish Foxsat HD doesn't appear to want to update either ( its on .14 at the moment). Can anyone confirm the transponder that is used for the update, as I have found contradictory info as to which frequency is used ?

Re: Red button prob on 2nd humax box

Thanks - that rather explains why it isn't seeing an update available.

Anyone know what frequency the update is transmitted on ?

[ The reason for the question is that the frequency shown on the Humax site (12604 H)
shows 0 Quality on my system, and just wondered if I will have a problem when it is eventually transmitted ....
]

Edit: the above freq. is obviously garbage as it doesn't appear to be a valid transponder frequency at 28deg East.

(Dracutus - sorry for the thread hijack ! )

Re: Red button prob on 2nd humax box

Think this is a big problem atm. I think I'm right in saying Humax can only transmit 1 upgrade signal at a time. So, the software update is being transmitted for the pvr box but not for the standard HD box..not good.
