Few setup questions

Right I have got hold of a Amstrad skybox (new style) and I have a friend posting me an old sky viewing card.

SO should that see me connecting to freesat from sky?

On monday the landlord will connect my socket to the sky dish so I just want to make sure I am ready in advance.

Will I need to change any settings on the skybox or is it just a case of plug it in and away I go?

Will the card need coding to my box or for freesat?

Thanks in advance guys

The box will work without a card for all fta channels (including all those on Freesat). You only need a card for the encrypted but free channels (FTV) mainly Five, Five US and Fiver and a few ITV regions. (You can get Five without a card by adding the fta transmission that Freesat uses)
