Hi folks, hoping for a little advice please. Just bought a humax-hd and set up ok. But when viewing the information bar using the I button it only displays 576i (unless on hd )even though i have changed to 1080i on theV- format button.I`m using the supplied hdmi cable and a sony tv. Any ideas please or is this as it should be ? Many thanks in advance.

The display shows the received signal parameters not the HDMI output. Normally your TV will report the input signal from the hdmi.

Just PM'd you forgetting about this posting so that explains the confusion.

Yes SD TV is 576i (normally 720 x 576 pixels unless it's ITV1 and others on Sat) freesat or freeview or virgin or any other SD TV service and HD is normally 1080i (1920 x 1080 pixels)
