As a PVR cost effective hd solution I was thinking of purchasing a Nova HD S2 PCI card and using it with my vista 32 pc via media centre, in previous searches dated back some time there was mention that HD channels would not be displayed and also something about fiji beta.

Just wondered if this solution is now working to enable me to view the free hd channels via vista media centre.

I've got one of these cards, you need a PC with at least a 3.4Ghz P4 processor if not better to get HD channels to work smoothly and agood graphics card. BBC HD and LUXE HD tune in but for ITV HD you have frig the settings to get this channel (see other threads). I've not used it for a few months so I don't know about the other HD channels. The EPG is only now and next for these channels too. My PC is a 3.2Ghz P4 and the HD channels jutter, so I gave up.

PS I have a dual freeview card installed too so I could record and watch at the same time. But the Cyberlink software that comes with the Nova HD S2 sometimes worked and sometime didn't. Kept loosing channels on the freeview card.

Thanks, My PC is a duo core 4300 (1.8ghz) x 2cpu and video card is a nvidia 7950GT have 2gb of ram installed would that be sufficient ?
