Foxsat HDR - cannot record 2 channels

I have 2 cables from my dish and yet the Foxsat HDR is unable to record 2 different channels at the same time.
Any time I try to do this is tells me there is a conflict and offers an alternative time/channel for the same program.

For example, I want to record Ice Road Truckers with a series link and MasterChef also with a series link. Because they are on at the same time tomorrow night it says there is a conflict and offers me Ice Road Truckers on Sunday night??!!??

Am I doing something wrong?

I can only believe the pvr thinks it has only one lead. When you reinstall ie factory setting, do you get a message onscreen that there are two feeds?

Did you have both feeds connected when you first powered up the box?

If not you may need to do a full reset and reinstall or there's a hidden menu option to add the second feed - I think the details are somewhere within the 'HDR Owner's Thread'

I had exactly the same problem, and a reinstall cured it.

My initial setup was with one connection then I added the second and used the hidden menu option (highlight manual tune then press R, G, Y, B, G, Y, B) to enable it. Unfortunately it didn't work and I still can't record two channels. I am resisting doing a factory reset as I guess I will lose all the recordings that are on my disc - can anyone confirm that is what will happen?

A factory reset won't affect your recordings only a format does that. It might delete your recording schedule but even that's not certain as this is stored on the hard disc. Before you do swap the cables around and check that you can still watch (to test the second connection). The manual tune was the wrong option but I gather from another post that doing it from the hidden menu does an automatic format and does lose your recordings. (Can't see why though)

Thanks for that - I did a factory reset (after checking both cables) and it's now working fine and I still have all my recordings.
