Any installers in the Todmorden area?

Hi Guys, My TV is totally via Sky dish, no aerial is fitted.
Tomorrow Sky+ will be replaced with Sky HD.
I have a TV hooked up to a DVD player in an attic.
I am after Freesat installed from the dish into the attic.
I will have my Sky+ box AND the original Sky box.
Can I use one of those to receive the Freesat?
Not bothered about the ability to record so can I use the bog standard old box? The plus box might defray the cost if it went on Fleabay.
The "Run" from dish to telly is about 20/25yards.
Is there a known installer in the area and is it going to cost me a bomb?
Thanks guys.

Yes you can use your old sky box to receive FTA (freesat) channels and FTV if you have a viewing card for it. Your sky dish will most likely have a quad lnb on it so you shouldnt need to upgrade that. Not sure about installers as i aint from tht area

Thanks ciaran.
Now the Sky card will, I thought, go into the new HD box downstairs.
Does the lack of a card kybosh it?

Freesat doesn't need a card, because it's free!
The only card you might want is a one-off for three or four more channels.

Well, "Free" seems reasonable.
Bless you.

No most free channels are free-to-air however some are free-to-view. These include Fiver and Five US (and +1 variants), sky 3, LFC and VIVA. If you do watch these channels and want to receive them on another box a Sky Freesat card will be required, £20 from sky.

Also received a message from Rick1 saying that he covers the Todmorden area and that a cable run is about £50, might be worth contacting him.

Much obliged ciaran.

My wife phoned an ad in the local rag and it has been done.

Thank you, and Rick, for your help.
