Question tvLINKplus Complete Kit (F100791-BL)

My home TV installation is a Global 8 way Loftbox, a Sky digibox (that is operating tvLINKs to 4 TVs). In a separate room Foxsat HDR is connected thru a Universal Modulator and the selected RF channel is tuned ok to all 4 TVs.

If I introduce a tvLINKplus Complete Kit (F100791-BL) connected to the Universal Modulator RF output; will it be possible to manage Foxsat HDR electronic program guide from any tvLINK?

I dont think so as the tvLINK is designed only to work with sky boxes

not sure if the kit you refer to will work properly mainly because it says it only will work with two eyes. Basically you need kit that will power the eyes and convert the coax control signals back to IR at the remote end.

"tvLINK plus" with (white) Power Supply Unit

Thank you. If I understand correct, so far I have one forum response that says "NO" and here a "YES" response that links to and describes the setup and tvLINKplus that I enquired about.

Who is right?

What you want to do is definetely possible, whether the kit you mention will work with your setup is a different question (you should enquire from the suppliers).

As the other poster says only sky boxes understand the remote control commands sent down the coax. However it's relatively simple to intercept these commands and turn them back to Infra Red, in this way a sky-link (magic eye) can be used to control pretty well anything by simply pointing the appropriate remote at the eye. The IR simply gets repeated at the remote location just as if you pressed the remote at that location. Whether it's worthwhile is another question. A pair of powermid wireless remote repeaters will do the same job and will likely cost less
