Humax Foxsat HDR Install Issue

Can someone please help?
I installed a new Humax Foxsat HDR at the weekend and despite a few hiccups during the initial install everything seemed to work fine.
However when I tried to record to channels simultaenously I ran into difficulty. The system seemed to think that I had a single cable setup even though I have 2 feeds coming from my quad LNB.
To be sure there wasn't an issue with either of the feeds I tested each individually and both worked fine.
I then did a factory reset and went through the initial install again.
At this point I once again ran into difficulty. At the point where the wizard reaches the "freesat detection" and checks how many cable feeds there are the system seems to be unable to detect any satellite signal. If I stop this and continue on, it does however pass the next step and recognises my postcode.
So the facts are these:
1. Freesat detection always fails - even though signal strength is 85% and Quality is 60%. During this phase the system always seems to think I have a single cable setup even though when I go into the diagnostics screen both tuners are present!
2. Postcode detection is successful (I am in the Irish republic, but am using a London postcode)
3. Manual tuning works fine (but of course no decent EPG)
4. If I go to the manual tuning section and set transponder to 11428H 27500A the signal strength and quality is 0%
5. The weather now is the same as it was when I initially installed
6. When I go into the diagnostics screen both tuners are showing signal strength at 85% and Quality at 60%

Soooo is it just the case that my dish needs to be realigned? Could the issue be that it just isn't picking up the EPG from Hotbird or wherever it is? If that is so, then how come I managed to get freesat at the weekend but can't now?

Sorry for the very long post, I just wanted to be sure I gave you all the info I could think was pertinent.

Thanks in advance!

60% quailty is low, and it depends which transponder that is for as well, if that is for one of the stronger ones it could well be that your dish is slightly out.

I don't get why the signal strength would drop to 0 though, you should get a reading on this even with the dish pointed at the floor.

Try setting the reciever to look at 10788v 22000 5/6 and gently flex the dish slightly on the mount and see if the signal increases. If it does get a spanner out and adjust the dish for best signal and try the setup again.

Hotbird is a completely differant satellite, and nothing to do with it.

Cheers Rick1. I'll give it a go. Not feeling confident though.
