My Sony Trinitron Digital TV Model

Help Please!!!!!!!!

I have a Sony Trinitron Integrated Digital TV (about 4/5 years oid) Model No KD28DL11U with No HDMI connection.
I had a Thompson Topup Box Until recently and returned it
to Argos because it kept Freezing and eventually had the
permanent Red Light. (FATAL ERROR) Got most of my money back as I mentoned The Sale Of Goods Act 1979 (box had a 6 year life expectancy) Then decide to buy
Goodmans Freesat+ HD Digital TV recorder. with HDMI and SCART connections. I do have a SKY Dish on the side of My house with one LNB attached. (Sat Box has 2 tuners) I am not sure whether this dish works or not, but, know that perhaps the cabling may have to be replaced with twin cables as opposed to single cable.
Sorry this is a long explanation of my Question!!!
How do I overcome the HDMI connection Problem and if
anybody has any expert advice to offer, I would be very happy to hear it.

Many Thanks In advance

D

The box has two LNB connections, not an actual LNB. You will need to test to make sure your existing sky dish LNB works and see how many output ports it has.
You can also use the scart lead to connect box to tv

Welcome to AVF.
That's the answer to your question - connect the receiver to the TV by Scart.
But you need a new TV if you want fully to use the HD facilities of your new receiver.
Was there another question though - about the antenna and its cabling?
If so what do you want to know about them?

Thank you for your information. I was looking to establish
whether I could use my Sony TV with the new Sat receiver,
without the HDMI connection. The antenna cabling
is the lesser problem and can be easily resolved.

Thanks again.
