Recording BBD HD - annoying audio track

Hi

I've been using an Inverto Scena 5 to record BBC HD to a USB hard drive. Playback using the Scena 5 appears identical to the 'live' version.

I purchased an Asus O!play 'media center' recently and have found it quite efficient at finding video, of many formats, on my network. It seems to play back anything without any problem but some BBC HD recordings (notably Life and How Not to Live Your Life) play the extra soundtrack for the visibly impaired.
Any ideas how to turn it off, and/or avoid recording it in the future?

Thanks

Ric

This is possibly a connections problem - these two threads may be of interest to you -

Hi Geofbob

Thanks for that. Interesting stuff, if not a little complicated for me.
I've now tried all 3 outputs from the O!Play . HDMI, Optical and RCA and I still get the extra audio.

It's most likely a lack of configuration from the sound system in this case which is a fairly basic Samsung Sound Bar with only 2.0
I can live with it.

On your remote control there should be an audio button press it to see if the file has multiple tracks you can switch to until you find the right one
It is possible that you have recorded the whole lot or maybe just the wrong one but is worth a try
