Will a sky lnb work with a round dish?

I have a 60cm round dish. I want to add additional lnbs. I can get sky lnbs for a couple of quid from ebay. Will they work ok with a round dish?
Alternatively, does anyone know whether titanium single universal lnbs are made for round or sky dishes? I have had no response from the company direct.

many thanks

Sky LNB's are made for Sky mini-dishes.

Having said that, the signal from 28E is so strong that you might get away with an inefficient arrangement on a 60 cm dish.

But at only a couple of quid, why not experiment?

Good luck.

Most LNBs, including Titanium, are designed for "round" dishes. Sky LNBs are the exception. I put "round" in quotes because they're normally slightly taller than wide (i.e. a vertical ellipse), but appear round(ish) from the LNB position.

Normal "LNBs" as described in this thread are really LNBFs where the "F" stands for feedhorn; in other words they are Low Noise downconveter Blocks with integrated Feedhorn.
Standard LNBs have a feedhorn design that correctly illuminates a normal offset (slightly elliptical) dish with typical F/D (focal length-to-diameter) ratio.
I guess those more egg-shaped Sky dishes need a different LNBF for optimum efficient illumination.
Truly round dishes (i.e. prime focus dishes) normally use a true LNB (no feedhorn) onto which you have to bolt a scalar feedhorn with C120 flange.
My 1.8 metre offset Channelmaster dish uses a C120 fitting with horn feed that Channelmaster designed to specifically illuminate the dish properly; a standard LNBF works but there is a loss of efficiency - noticeable on weaker signals where my location is towards the outside of the satellite's footprint.

Titanium single universal LNBs are for standard offset dishes.

Sky LNBs can be used for standard offset dishes, but don't work as well, due to the reasons already mentioned. For strong satellites like 19.2E, Hotbird etc though, they should work OK. Though 60cm is a bit on the small side to start messing with extra LNBs anyway, but 13E+19E is OK for sure.
