I have a Humax Foxsat HDR with twin tuners. I have a quad LNB with two feeds into the back of the Humax. Tonight I tried recording ITV and watching BBC2 but the system wouldn't let me. I thought if I had two inputs this wouldn't be a problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

You should be able to record one channel and record another with two cable feeds. It sounds like one of your feeds isn't active. I would check the cable connections/reseat them at the back of the HDR and then do a factory reset (which will blat any schedule you have set up but not any recorded items on your hard drive).

for a quick check you could look at the diagnostics to check you are getting a signal on both feeds and what the strength and quality is like.
