Does it matter if the pictures are in a folder on the usb stick? I tried that and it showed the folder name on the screen, but nothing seemed to be uploading. |
I presume you mean a 2GB stick?
The Humax has problems with pictures that :-
1. Have invalid characters in the filename.
2. Large files, say >2mb. I can't remember the threshold, it's not documented, but I seem to remember that from experimentation.
3. Large resolutions - try resizing to your TV screens display resolution, say 1920 x 1080, or similar but keeping aspect ratio. 8/10mp cameras produce large res & filesize by default these days.
4. Progressive jpeg format.
Do you know how to use File Manager properly, with the target folder open first? Have you opened the Photos section first using "Blue" (or Music using "Yellow" for your mp3s) before going into FM to do the copying? You can't copy a folder across, you have to open the folder on the stick and copy the files.
Rgds.
