Humax Foxsat HD - Can you copy programs?

I am looking to purchase a Humax Foxsat HD pvr.

However, it would seem that you can only record to the on-board hard drive?

Is it possible to download/ouput any programs to a separate dvd/vhs recorder?

Does the Foxsat have any editing features to enable this?

You can record directly to a dvd or vhs recorder in real time by replaying the recordings or live. In addition you can archive recordings to a seperate usb drive (Most HD and all SD) and replay them from here. SD recordings can then be transferred to a PC for lossless DVD creation. (The data is already mpeg2 suitable for use with suitable dvd authoring software)

You can't edit in the machine but it's easy to do so once on a pc.

The PVR version is known as the Foxsat HDR.

You can download recorded programmes to USB, and can edit these on a PC.

If you connect your DVDR/VCR, via the VCR Scart, you can record, but only realtime from whatever is showing at the time, i.e. the tuner output from whatever channel you have it on, or the recorded programme currently being played back.

Rgds.
