I've been keeping an eye on the DTG site as I've had a Bush HD Sat receiver for the past week with the old firmware (1.4.44)

Just noticed the 1.8.1 firmware has been scheduled to be broadcast from today

Well my box has crashed 5 or 6 times downloading the new firmware with a "Update failed" error when powered on. When you press "OK" it locks up and needs a power cycle.

Its currently downloading again (with something onscreen this time !!!) so fingers crossed.

"Upgraded" my Bush with no problem - so far! The quotation marks are because I can detect no change to the box's features - I was hoping for a little more flexibility in handling non-Freesat channels, but the options etc look as limited as ever. Anyone know just what the difference from the former version is?

I think the main differences on mine were the transparency settings for the menus and the option to block the adult channels with a password (or something like that).

I'm a bit disappointed as well lol.
