What satellite dish to buy (freesat)?

Hi all,
I'm finally getting round to sorting out my tv wish-list!
First off, I live in Co. Down, N.Ireland

For freesat, what size of dish do I need to buy, and are there any makes/models I should consider or stay away from? Do dishes have ratings on them? What should I be looking for in a good dish?

Saying that, the guy I'm going to get to install it can probably get me a dish, so the question here is do I want to do that or buy one myself and get him to put it up? Probably cheaper for me to buy one, but then he might not be as happy to put it up..... (I want him to sort out some other problems we're having with terrestial tv as well).

I'll need at least a quad-LNB, but am wondering if I should just get an 8-LNB right now in possible anticipation of future connections to more than 2 tvs? This is a case of 'I would like' but 'probably not going to be allowed to do because cables will be seen running down the wall'. I can get away with it in 2 rooms at the moment....I think!

The other wishlist items are the Humax foxsat HDR. And an LCD tv (trying really hard to convince myself that the Philips32PFL9604 is way way too expensive and I could get a lesser but larger tv for less money... but it's really really nice......and it is for a small room....and it would be all mine.... *sigh*)

Many thanks for you help.

Hi, the cheapest option is probably an old sky dish, or new one which are readily available and easy to get quad lnb's for.

If you go for anything other than a Sky dish then the correct spec lnb will cost significantly more (up to 4 times the price for similar quality/spec) - remember there are some 12 million plus Sky dishes around compared to around 5% of that for non-Sky dishes.
