comag single LBN, Sun melting protective cover

I have just purchased the Comag Mini Satallite System. Used for first time three weeks ago and during sunny periods the sun's rays, focused by the grey coloured sheet metal dish, melted a track across the protective cover of the supplied LBN. Can anything be done to stop this happening again?
