Forza Motorsport 3 DLC - including Limited Collector's Edition info and VIP cars

Here is a list of the DLC that comes with both the standard edition and the Limited Collector's Edition in the form of redeemable codes. DLC should not be confused with the VIP cars that Team 10 will gift you if you are a VIP member. The gifted cars will go straight into your collection of "My Cars" ready to be used in season play. DLC cars will still need to bought with in-game credits if you want to use them in season play, whether the DLC came free with your copy of the game or whether it was downloaded from the Forza Motorsport 3 Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Each time you download new cars, go to their showrooms and they will be marked with a star.

Your VIP status is shown in game next to your gamertag as a crown. If you have used the LCE DLC, please check the appropriate showrooms for the following cars.

Redeemable Codes DLC

re: Forza Motorsport 3 DLC - including Limited Collector's Edition info and VIP cars

Just to ask you a question as you seem fairly knowledgeable

Ok, dunno what the hell happened but I was entering the codes for the extra cars etc downloaded the VIP pack 60mb fine, then entered the second code and it told me not enough space, so pressed the buttons for suggestions nothing happened.

I cancelled and went to the dashboard, cleared some space, re-entered the code and get told its already been used!

Just go to your "Download History" and download it again. You don't need to redeem the code twice.

re: Forza Motorsport 3 DLC - including Limited Collector's Edition info and VIP cars

Great post, I've been going nuts trying to find my LE stuff...

Have to say it kind of sucks that you pay an extra £15 and still have to buy them in-game though...

Any idea when the exclusive theme will be available? I reedemed my LE code, and was also missing the theme.

Loving the game, my current fav drive is a Bright Green VW Scirocco

re: Forza Motorsport 3 DLC - including Limited Collector's Edition info and VIP cars

The missing Exclusive Forza Motorsport 3 Theme (limited availability) will probably show up on, or shortly after release day - Friday 23rd Oct. There's more discussions and info about it here: Forzamotorsport.net Forums - problem with the limited collector's edition add-on content

It seems to be a common problem. It may be a case of having to go to your "Download History" and re-download the LCE DLC in order to get the theme to work after it's been made available.

Basically, this is the same with the DLC car packs that Forza 2 had. You still had to buy them in game. Just because you download them, doesn't mean you get them for free in the game, the DLC just makes them become available. It will be exactly the same when those who pre-ordered with GAME get their codes emailed to them for the GAME exclusive 2009 BMW Motorsport GAME M3 E92.

I hope that helps clear the confusion.
Good info, thanks.

I got the standard edition with the E92 M3, but there was/is no mention of the fact that I will still have to pay for it.

The title simply says:

Now call me a pedant, but that says I'm getting the car included within the game for that price and there's no indication that I will have to pay extra to use it-it says "Forza WITH in-game BMW"

If it's only a download, then it's not "In-Game" and if it just gives me a download, then it's not "As Advertised".

Or have I got it totally arse about face!?

re: Forza Motorsport 3 DLC - including Limited Collector's Edition info and VIP cars

I'm guessing, but the code for VIP's only unlocks the cars to allow them to be purchased, although they were available to race online right from the start.

The good news is that cash comes quickly, I played for about an hour last night and earned almost 200,000 credits with only 2% of the game completed, so it won't take you long to add it to your garage.

Unless you've discovered a wonderful way to pay for your weekly shopping from Tesco with your hard earned Forza Credits, I think you might be confusing it with actual money that you use to pay your bills with. The code that you get from GAME will "unlock" or make the car available in the game. If you want it in your collection of "My Cars", you'll have to purchase it with the credits you're awarded for winning races or selling other cars in the auction house, or other things in your storefront, just like all the other DLC cars.

re: Forza Motorsport 3 DLC - including Limited Collector's Edition info and VIP cars

I'm still pretty confused to be honest.

Can you be a VIP without the LCE?

My main concern however is that I want the Scuderia, GT3 rs and Superleggera.

Do you have to buy the LCE to get these cars or is there another way?

I don't really want the LCE unless it's necessary for the above cars.

Thanks.

Just redeemed the 2 codes from GAME with no problems. Both cars are available in their respective showrooms.

I don't think you can get the VIP status any other way, I could be wrong though. Have you tried searching the auction house for anyone that may be selling the cars you're after. You may have to pay over the odds for them, but don't forget, it's not actually real money, although it sometimes feels like it is...
