We at AVForums have always been proud of the fact that we provide you, the members and readers with the very best in enthusiast based content. As well as our main Forums, over the last 5 years we have gradually expanded our editorial content to include movie reviews, podcasts, video productions and hardware reviews.
Because of the stringent testing employed, our hardware review database has grown slowly over the past few months. Due to the overwhelming demand for more content, it is now time to expand our review team.
Today we would like to welcome our new hardware reviewer, David Mackenzie.
David joins the AVForums hardware reviews after using this knowledge and experience to write reviews for DVD Times and HDTVtest. He looks forward to evaluating displays and players for the AV Forums and, when given the chance, working with manufacturers to improve the quality of their products.
Outside of online journalism, David is helping release a series of art-house films on DVD, for a US-based company. Here he is responsible for dirt and scratch clean-up, as well as MPEG-2 video encoding, DVD authoring, and featurette editing. He also maintains contact with studios to secure the best quality source material. After graduating from the University of Glasgow with a joint MA Hons degree in Film & Television Studies and Arts & Media Informatics, David also hopes to combine his love for film and video technology to produce short films.
Now exclusively at AV Forums, David will continue to objectively assess video hardware, and looks forward to assisting with the production of video content for AVForums.tv. You can read David’s first review
