2 Million Milestone

For the first time we have had over 2 million visitors to AVForums.com in a month.
The attached screen capture of our Google Analytics report shows that we had 2,062,399 unique visitors from 14th of August to the 13th September.
This is somewhat unexpected because in previous years the summer months have been the quietest whilst the six months around Xmas have been the busiest. This summer saw no such significant dip in traffic and it is increasing much more and much earlier than we were expecting.

This is all fantastic news and another indication that AVForums.com is continuing to grow rapidly.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to AVForums from the moderators to editorial and, of course, our enthusiastic posting members who create the useful AV information which people find so fascinating.

Outstanding news Stuart. Thank you so much for all that you do to make this the outstanding website and fantastic success that it is. I for one would be totally lost without it.

Re: 2 Million Milestone

Yep, I'm sure the weather played a big part. Out of interest, how long ago was it when AVF had 1m unique visitors in a month?

Re: 2 Million Milestone

Well done Stuart, great result.

Got to say my finger's tired from the 1,900,000 F5 Refreshes I've had to do

Good to see such high stats, and who knows what the busy winter season will bring, especially at this important time in the AV industry.

Good going.

Dan.

I agree we had a particularly lousy summer, although, I wouldn't say we often got a decent one.
We employed Google Analytics in July '07 meaning that August '07 was the first full month where these stats were available. Prior to that we were using a different measuring tool which was good but not quite as accurate.
In August '07 we had just over 1 million unique users. I've attached a comparison graph.

That would increase the number of page views, but not the number of unique visitors cos it's still all you.
