New navigation menu
The addition of the Videos area of AVForums has brought our need for a better navigation system to a head.
I have been testing a DHTML (dynamic HTML) menu for some time and I really like what we have come up with.
Using the colour scheme we have been used to, but reducing the number of long drop-downs, we now have multi-layered menus available which allow easy and fast access to the most popular areas of our site.
The very top layers - the tabs - represent the major areas of AVForums.
Now because the menu system is new, there will be some glitches. So please bear with us while we iron out any bugs.
Thanks

Re: New navigation menu
Hi Stuart,
looks very nice , the only comment I have to make so far is you have to be very precise with your mouse movements to get a menu like
Forums > Home Cinema. you need to move the mouse down and then right an not a angled movement.
Maybe a delay between tab renders.

Re: New navigation menu
I think if there was a delay people would complain about that more.

So far, I think this is an excellent upgrade.

I also find this a slight problem, couldn't the forums tab be placed on the right side of the other tabs with a slight gap, would pretty much solve the problem

Sorry, no. The Forums are the most important element of the whole organisation and their position from left to right is dictated by their hierarchical importance.
